Biography

She was born in Ioannina, Greece, in 1986. She studied Journalism, Communication, and Culture at the Panteion University of Athens. She has worked as an editor in digital magazines, as a producer in a music festival and a radio program, as a collaborator of a cinema festival and a theater. In 2011 her passion for the investigation and her love for cinema led her to Barcelona where she did the UAB Creative Documentary Master’s course. During her course she co-directed "From low down", a 30' documentary about the social stigma of the people with dwarfism that was awarded at the Peloponnesian International Film Festival 2012, and participated in various festivals around the world. In 2013 she directed "Bref", a 30' documentary produced by the NGO Doctor´s of the world, that  treats the delicate subject of the female genital mutilation and has been screened in many festivals internationally. That same year she directed “Cards” an 8’ autobiographical documentary about the loss of memory of her grandfather, which made its premiere at the Athens International Film Festival. Actually she is co-directing her first feature length documentary film “The most boring thing in the world” about the professional children choir Cor Vivaldi, which will be released in June of 2014. She also works as a freelancer direct sound recorder in documentary and fiction films.

She was born in Córdoba, Spain, in 1985. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Granada and direction of photography at the Center of Cinematographic Studies of Catalonia. Since 2010 she has worked at various audiovisual projects and at different departments: art direction, photography, camera, script and direction assistance. Among her works as a photography director stand out “La puerta”, short fiction film, shot in 2011 and selected in differents festivals and “Bref”, documentary of a humanitarian issue produced by the NGO Metges del Mon, that received a warm reception by festivals internationall and in which she collaborated also in the script. In the direction department, stands out her contribution as assistant director in the shorts “Gracia”, shot in 2012 and of a great festival route nationaly and internationally and “Silencios”, actually in  postproduction, that counts with the participation of Marisa Paredes at the leading role.

Biography

He was born in 1978. He studied cinema direction in the Center of Cinematographic Studies of Catalonia - C.E.C.C (2004). He has been working as a director of photography in documentaries for the last 10 years, and he also works as a professor of photography in the Master course on Creative Documentary of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). His career has been based on social-anthropological projects, which have been completed through experiences in different parts of the globe. Some of his predominant projects are: “La cosa más aburrida del mundo” (2013) a feature length documentary, shot in Barcelona, about the professional children choir Cor Vivaldi, (in post-production). “La casa de la felicidad” (2012), a short documentary about a radio anchorman who does everything he can, to help a marginal gypsy neighborhood in Pondicherry (India). “Bref” (2012), a short documentary that approaches the ritual of the female genital mutilation through conversations with immigrants from Africa (2012). “Aigua, cel, infern” (2012), a 50-minute documentary made for the television program “sense-ficció” of TV3 of Catalonia, a record of the Spanish waterpolo team that marked an important phase of the sports history of the country. “Nacer” (2011) a feature length documentary about the relationship between the public health institutions and the mothers that come to give birth. "Allah Baksh" (2010), a short portrait of the stigma of leprosy in Bombay. "Lino y la fábrica de juguetes" (2010), a short documentary as the last testimony of the most important factory of tin toys in Europe. "El camino dels somnis" (2009), the story of two girls overcoming blindness in southern India. "Pescador de lunas" (2009), a documentary that records the myths and legends of the Putumayo River (Colombia). "Bagatela" (2008), a feature length documentary that denounces the lack of justice on petty crime in Bogota. "Bajo las luces de Tana" (2007), a short documentary based on the testimonies of battered women in Madagascar, a country dominated by sexism,. "Abandonatii" (2006), a short documentary that in 30 minutes resumes the situation of young people living in the sewers of Bucharest. "Tira y afloja" (2005), an entire school year resumed in a film that tackles the difficult relationship between teachers and students of a secondary school in Barcelona. Most of these works have been selected and awarded in various national and international festivals, as Bafici, Films I've seen, Sitges, Zinebi, Cinema du Reel, including the Goya Awards.
